Trevor – Hayden – Cristi | Seniors 2017

I don’t know about you, but I swear seniors look so much older nowadays than I looked at their age. Somehow, in the few years it’s been since I graduated, they all learned how to dress better, do their hair, and hold themselves in a more mature way.
And let me tell you… They are SO much fun to hang out with too! Senior season is one of my favorites because it gives me the chance to meet some pretty cool kids, hear about their big dreams for the future, and reminisce on my life when I was their age.

So today I decided to introduce you to some of the seniors I was able to get to know this year! <3

My session with Trevor was so much fun. I still remember him as a little junior high dude that my AP Chemistry teacher would talk about every once in a while. So when she asked me to take his senior pictures, I couldn’t believe it. I could have sworn he was still 12 years old! But, alas, time has slipped away from me and I was greeted by a smiling senior the day of our shoot. Trevor was such a trooper the entire time. He was patient, put up with my lame jokes, and I loved hearing all about his plans for the future. He’s a cool kid!
And that cowboy hat!! LOVED it.

My next senior is Hayden. His mom and my mom went to high school together, and I have so many memories of my mom telling me stories about them growing up. So when Tami approached me about taking Hayden’s pictures, I was over the moon thrilled (as was my mom!). The first thing that ran through my mind, though, was “How in the world is Hayden old enough for senior pictures?” I must be getting old, y’all!
I had such an amazing time during this shoot, between catching up with the Wallers, joking around with Hayden and enjoying the beautiful spring weather that day. Hayden is one of the coolest, most caring guys his age that I’ve ever met. He reminded me a lot of my little brother, and I am so glad I got to capture this special moment in life for him. I can’t wait to see how the Lord uses him for His kingdom!

Cristi’s session was special for me because of how much she means to my husband and his family. She and my husband grew up together, and he likes to consider Cristi as the sister he never had. It’s been awesome watching her grow up over the past 7 years, and I am so proud of the young lady she has become. She is graduating from UT Arlington with a degree in education, and I can’t wait to see the amazing teacher she is going to be!
And how ’bout them shoes, y’all??

It’s not too late to schedule your senior session! Contact me if you’re interested. <3
