How is it already back to school time? I could have sworn that just the other day I was hugging my kiddos good bye for the summer, and now here we are… just a few weeks away from the start of a new school year.
Growing up, this used to be my absolute favorite time of year (besides my birthday, obvi). Between the smell of new school supplies (please tell me I’m not the only one who likes it!) to shopping for my first day of school outfit, I loved every second of it. I’d get excited butterflies in my stomach thinking about meeting my teacher and classmates for the first time. It would take me forever to go to sleep the day before school because I couldn’t wait for the next day to come. I’d write my name on every single pencil, marker and crayon, and strut around in my new backpack days before school started.
If you can’t tell, I was a cool kid back in the day. 😉

Some of my favorite pictures from my childhood are the first day of school pictures my mom would take every year. You can see the excited nervousness in my smile, the summer tan on my face, and me sporting my brand new shoes that were just a *little* too big. Each year of school brought a new year of lessons learned, friends made and different ways to write my letters (y’all… I went through a phase where just about every week I changed the way I wrote my “a”s…). Over the years I’d lose teeth, read dozens of books, have crushes on many different boys, and welcome younger siblings into the family. Each year I changed a little bit more, and you could see that in those pictures my mom used to take.

I love those pictures so much, and that’s why I decided to do these back to school minis for you!
The mini sessions will be held in Euless, TX at McCormick Park. They are $75 for 30 minutes and you will receive 10 edited pictures with a print release. I have limited spots available, so make sure you reserve yours soon. 🙂
