The private last dance at a wedding is quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of the whole day. There’s just something special, sweet and peaceful about an empty room, a specially selected song playing, and just the bride and groom swaying on the dance floor. At Kelly and Trevor’s wedding, the last dance brought tears to my eyes. As Trevor softly sang the song to his bride and smiled down at her, Kelly rested her head on his chest. After a long day of getting ready, waiting, taking pictures, eating and dancing, they finally had a moment to sit back and soak it all in. They were married, and their forever together was just beginning.

As I stood by a post and watched them dance together I couldn’t help but smile as tears filled my eyes. It had been a day full of happy and sad tears. A day spent celebrating an almost decade-long relationship between the bride and groom. A day spent laughing together, catching up with loved ones, and soaking in all the special events that took place. It had been a beautiful day for the most deserving couple, and I couldn’t imagine a more perfect way to end it than watching them spin around on the dance floor. Call me a romantic, but goodness it was magical.
