Being a photographer is such an amazing profession. Not only do you get to take fun pictures and check out all different types of locations, but you get to meet some of the most amazing people out there. This session was no exception, and I left not only smiling from ear to ear, but also knowing I just made some new friends.

When Garrett and Alex first showed up, they told me that the last time they had pictures taken was at their wedding two years ago, and even then their experience wasn’t ideal. They were nervous, said they were horrible at posing, and that they had no idea what to do. But guys… let’s just say they totally nailed their session. I swear they were models in a previous life, and it was so exciting to see them have fun, laugh and smile at each other the farther we got into our session.

One of the reasons I LOVE photographing couples is because you get to capture sweet moments between the two. Her giggle as he makes a face to get her to laugh. His ear to ear smile as he looks into his bride’s eyes. Seeing them bump hips as they walk along the path. And hearing them encourage, joke around with and talk to each other. It’s one of my favorite things ever.

I am so thankful to have been able to meet and work with these two, and for the smile they brought to my face for the rest of the day. <3
