His eyes sparkled and a grin spread from ear to ear. Chris had just been asked if he was ready to marry Tiffany, and he could barely contain his excitement (and nervousness) when he said “Yes I am so ready!”
He paced back and forth for a while, talking to his groomsmen and wishing time would pass by faster. Why is it that time always moves so slow when you want it to move quickly? How much longer would he have to wait to see his bride? Then, as the first chords of his processional song, began tears sprang to his face.
It was time. Finally time!
As he walked down the aisle and saw the friends and families that had gathered together, he couldn’t believe it. They were here for him. They were here for Tiffany. And they were here to see them come together as husband and wife. Chris took a deep breath as he made his way to his spot.
It was time.
And then, there was Tiffany.
Dressed in white. Arm linked with her dad’s. A huge smile on her face as she saw her groom for the first time that day. She glided down the aisle, and Chris felt the tears coming. Here she was… The love of his life… His bride… And his WIFE.
She looked beautiful, and Chris knew he was the luckiest guy in the world to call her his. Nothing else in the world mattered, because he finally got to marry his best friend. Nothing else mattered.
The rest of the night was full of laughter, excitement and pure joy for the newly wed couple. But the moment that stuck with me the most was seeing how in love Chris was with Tiffany. It’s the reason I love weddings, and why I do what I do. Watching two people who are so in love with each other come together in marriage is one of my favorite things to see. And I am so thankful I get to be there to witness it all.
It’s seriously the best!
Tiffany and Chris, I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for y’all! Congratulations, and here’s to the future!
