The sun was shining bright, dragonflies flew through the air, and music rang across the vineyard. It was a beautiful summer night that was made even more special because it was spent celebrating Cristi and Jacob. The entire day was full of tears, laughter, smiles and dancing. Cristi and her girls cut a rug in the bride’s room while Jacob played cards with his guys. Parents did a final check around the vineyard to make sure everything was perfect for their kids, and as guests started to arrive, the excitement for the day began to rise. Everyone was over the moon for the soon to be husband and wife.
And Isaac and I were right there with them.
This wedding was one of my favorites to date. Not only was it beautiful, and we got to work with some amazing people, but we got to watch one of my husbands childhood friends marry the love of her life. How special!
I cried when I watched Cristi walk down the aisle. She was glowing, beaming with love and ready to start her future with Jacob. I also saw the sophomore girl I met when Isaac and I first started dating. I remembered all the nights spent hanging out at her parents house, staying in her dorm room when I visited Isaac in college, and bonding over our classroom stories. Cristi helped me with my wedding, and it was such an honor to be here for hers.
And I know Isaac felt even more sentimental as he watched his “sister” become Mrs. Gregory.
This sunflower wedding was one for the books. Especially because James got to be there with us celebrating the new husband and wife. What a special night for an even more special couple!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Gregory! We can’t wait to see how the Lord uses your marriage for His glory.
