In Texas, taking pictures with the bluebonnets is more than just a fun photo op. It’s something that we HAVE to do. Like how you close your eyes when you sneeze. Or when you have to clap after hearing “the stars at night are big and bright”. It’s engrained in our blood.

So you can imagine the audible gasp I did when we turned the corner at my favorite park in Euless to find a bluebonnet patch I had no idea was there. With the biggest, most gorgeous bluebonnets ever. My Texas heart did a little happy dance, and I was thrilled Kaylee and Thomas understood my excitement. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end a photo-filled weekend, and I left our session with a full heart.

Kaylee and I met way back in college, and even though we weren’t close then, I am so happy we are able to get to know each other now! She has the sweetest personality, and watching her with Thomas brings me so much joy. I love working with two people in love (which is probably why I love weddings and engagements so much!), and this warm spring evening I got to do just that.

They giggled and laughed together.
He looked down at his beautiful fiance with a smile on his face.
She excitedly told me about the plans they had made for the wedding.
Thomas kept saying “Wow. You are beautiful” over and over again.
And I loved every second of it.

Here’s to a gorgeous spring session, a couple in love, and a wedding in six short months! I can’t wait!
