This past Saturday my sweet husband graduated from UT Arlington with a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering. Ever since I met him (when we were just little babies in high school), I knew he was made to do great things. The past six years he’s been in school have been tough, but his perseverance, determination and patience have shone through it all. I couldn’t be any prouder of Isaac, and so naturally, I needed to capture this amazing milestone in the best way possible… pictures!
Being a photographer’s husband has its downfalls (like photoshoots on weekend nights and too much money spent on new camera bodies and lenses 😉 ), but it has its perks as well (like quality time spent hearing all about new courses I take and traveling around for shoots). And this past weekend he experienced one of those perks- a mini senior session a few hours before graduation. At least it was a perk in my book… Not so sure about his! I have to say, though, that I am so happy we took the time that morning to take his pictures, because this is such a huge moment in his life, and I will continue to look back at those pictures for years to come.
One of the things that I loved the most about these pictures is getting to capture Isaac’s 3D printing creation on his hat. His family raises cattle, and he put the family brand on his cap. I thought that was such a cool way to connect to his roots, and his family was touched by the sweet gesture.
Bonus, it was great for helping pick him out of the crowd of 900 other graduates!
Here’s to closing a chapter in life, and to opening a new one. I love you to the moon and back, Isaac.
