When I first saw Robyn on her wedding day, she was surrounded by her bridesmaids and loved ones, getting her makeup done, and laughing along with her friends. As I rounded the corner, she jumped out of her chair and gave me the biggest hug. As she squeezed my eyes started to well up with tears. All the fun times we had together in college came to mind…. Dancing at Billy Bobs… my surprise 21st birthday party… Bible studies with friends… hitting up all the dining halls around campus… going to football games together… And so much more! She was there the night I got engaged, and then celebrated with me at my wedding. Gosh, so many memories with such a sweet friend!
So when Robyn first reached out about wedding photography, I was just a little excited. Not only was I thrilled for her and Landon, but it meant that I got to celebrate a huge moment in her life AND be there to capture it. What an honor! I love shooting weddings, because I love celebrating my brides and grooms as they marry their best friend, partner in life and other half. But I especially love shooting weddings for friends. It makes the day even more special, as I watch a friend I’ve known for years enter the covenant of marriage.
And y’all… I have to say – Robyn and Landon’s wedding was absolutely beautiful.
The weather was a perfect mix of sunny and cloudy, the bridal party was fun to work with, and Robyn and Landon were so happy it was infectious. Isaac and I had smiles on our faces the entire time (the two 2-week old babies in the bridal party definitely contributed to that!), and we happily cheered for the newlywed couple as they walked down the aisle as man and wife.
It was such a special day for us, and I am beyond excited for Robyn and Landon. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Baker!!
