Have you ever had that moment when you meet someone for the first time and instantly know you’re going to like them? That’s exactly what happened to me the first time I met Allison and Matthew.
They were on cloud nine, oh so in love and excited to get their wedding planning rolling. They were sweet and couldn’t stop smiling the entire time we talked. She’s type A like me, and we definitely bonded over all the craziness that goes into planning a wedding. He’s polite and funny, and reminded me of Isaac. I felt like we were old friends hanging out together after years apart, and I left that meeting knowing deep down that we were going to be friends.

And y’all… That was so true!

Allison greeted me on the day of their session with a big hug and grin. We talked about the wedding. We talked about my pregnancy. And I felt so uplifted and encouraged the entire time we spent together.

Because that’s what happens when you get to work with two truly genuine people. Two people who are honest and caring. And two people who are truly in love with each other, and choose day in and day out to love no matter what. What a treasure that is to see!

And if the engagement session was any testament to how the wedding is going to be, let me tell you… I cannot wait for their big day to get here! Allison and Matthew, thank you so much for spending your evening with me, for making me laugh, and for encouraging me (even if you didn’t realize it).

Matthew, keep loving and serving Allison in this exciting time in your relationship. Help her when she needs help, take her on dates to get her away from the stress of planning, and remind her that at the end of the day the only thing that matters is the two of you will be married.
Allison, enjoy this season in life! Remember that you’ll only be engaged for a short while and cherish these moments you have with Matthew. Breathe, relax and enjoy yourself. Because you deserve all that and more!
