When I look back at the last couple of years of my life, one family stands out the most for having one of the biggest impacts on my life. It’s not every day you meet a family as amazing as the Samuels, and I am so thankful for the memories, laughter and tears we have shared. I know my life would be so different if the Lord hadn’t been gracious to me for bringing them into my life!

Brooke is the picture of a selfless, kind and caring friend. I’ve never met someone so thoughtful, and who loves the people around her like the Lord loves her. Mike is one of the most passionate people I know, and it’s been so amazing to see him grow and mature in his faith over the past couple of years. And don’t get me started on how much I absolutely love sweet little Tommie Grace. She is joyful, full of life and spunk, and has her mother’s (and grandmother’s) sweet heart.

When I think of a woman of faith, Brenda is one of the first people who comes to mind. She truly loves and trusts the Lord, and one of my favorite things about her is how she will literally drop everything she’s doing to pray with you. What an awesome woman! And Scott? He’s a fun, goofy, big hearted man. He gave Isaac a part time job after he graduated. He came and fixed our back door without a moment’s hesitation. And my heart turns to mush when I see him love on his little grandbaby.

And that’s why I love this session so much. Because it captured the joy and life of this sweet family. It showcased the love they have for each other. And while you may see just five people, I see some of the most amazing people that helped me through the hardest season of my life. I see how the Lord has grown them over the past year to be more like Christ. And I see friends that came into my life when I needed it the most.
