I am so excited to share this shoot with y’all! I had the greatest privilege to work with one of my high school classmates the other day to celebrate Mother’s Day the best way possible… By taking maternity pictures for her soon-to-be-here baby. When she first reached out to me, I was thrilled. Not only have I been loving all the maternity shoots lately, but I have secretly been keeping up with her adorable family through Facebook the past few years. So it was great to finally meet her (spunky) daughter and husband after years of stalking.
Yes, I am a self declared Facebook creeper, and I’m proud of it! 😉

As Ashley and I talked about the shoot I got more and more excited for it. She told me she wanted it to be boho themed, and after sending me over some ideas, my creative gears began to turn. I had dreamt of making a teepee for shoots, and finally had the perfect excuse to make one.
And I’m so glad I did!
Between the lace, flowers and greenery, I was in photographer heaven, and it really helped tie the whole theme of the session together! I can’t wait to continue to use it in future shoots. I’m thinking maybe some mommy and me minis, newborns and cake smashes would look adorable with the teepee!

One of my favorite parts of the session was getting to hang out with sweet miss B. She was a hoot and a half, spinning around, telling me “take my picture, take my picture!” and correcting me when I called her grandma by the wrong name. I was laughing the entire time, and was sad to say goodbye at the end. This was definitely the most fun I’ve had at a shoot in a long time!

I can’t wait to see this sweet family continue to grow, and to meet sweet C in a few months! Ashlee and Stryker are amazing parents, and I am so glad I finally got to meet them all in person. Thank you for letting me be apart of this special moment with you, and for spending your Mother’s Day with me, celebrating your new baby.
