It’s no secret that I love spring. The minute it starts warming up, trees begin budding and flowers bloom, I’m in heaven. I live for warmer weather and get so excited for all the spring photoshoots. I’m a huge fan of the tall grass, green trees and flowers everywhere. It’s my favorite time of year to take pictures, and I try to get as many of my sessions booked during these couple of months as possible. Especially when the bluebonnets bloom!
The past two years I’ve done bluebonnet mini sessions, but this year I decided not to do them. Between taking care of James, shooting THREE weddings in March and traveling, the prospect of doing mini sessions made me more anxious than excited. Even though I was sad to not do them, it was SO fun still getting to take so many bluebonnet pictures taken this year!
And my oh my what a huge variety of sessions for our bluebonnet pictures. From the “family that started it all” (shoutout to the amazing Lewis family), to new families that have become friends, to a maternity session, engagement session and anniversary session, my heart was so happy with all the pretty bluebonnet pictures. Best of all, I’ve never seen the flowers so big up here in North Texas, which made the pictures even more amazing in my opinion. 😉
Now that all my spring sessions are winding down, I decided to dedicate an entire blog post to all the bluebonnet pictures I took this year. I love looking back and remembering the fun sessions I had the past month, and I’m looking forward to next year’s already!
Best of all? It’s not too late for a spring session. Contact me if you want to schedule yours! 🙂
